Kensmuir, Working Stockdog Center is dedicated to the promotion of sheep and stock dog herding. We believe that the partnership existing between the shepherd and his/her working dog provides benefits in both ease of work as well as reduced stress on livestock. We offer:

Kensmuir is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the Working Border Collie. Utilizing proven trial and farm dogs, and traditional herding methods and training techniques, we develop a working partnership with our dogs. At Kensmuir, herding is more than a doggie sport, it is a belief in a lifestyle that has existed for hundreds of years...and has proven itself in the development of the premier herding dog in the world the Border Collie. Our dogs are everyday workers, compete on the trial field, and come from some of the finest American, Scottish, Irish, and Welsh lines.

We welcome beginners and hobbyists!

We are a family owned farm, working successfully to preserve our agrarian heritage. We pride ourselves on proper shepherding of our livestock, providing proper pastures, grasses and care for natural growth. We use no Growth Hormones, and finish our stock in natures way - with green grass and fresh water providing lamb that tastes the way it should
